🎙 Let's talk Podcasts for a bit… It seems like everyone is starting a podcast right now. 🎙
🦻🏻 70% of Americans have heard of Podcasts (up from 64% in 2018)
🎧 22% listen to Podcasts Weekly
🎙 There are ~750,000 podcasts. Up from 550,000 last year (compare to 23M YouTube channels)
😱 These channels have more than 29 million episodes
🕖 76.8% of podcast listeners listen for more than 7 hours a week
📺 61.2% of listeners spend more time listening to podcasts than consuming TV shows
🧐 80% listen to more than half of every episode.
Is the market overcrowded? Or is there still opportunity?

Here are my 2 cents. There is a huge market opportunity for podcasts. The listener base is growing rapidly and podcast listeners are incredibly loyal (see above). That said, the more saturated the market becomes, the harder it will be to get ahead. Also, Podcasts aren’t easy. Most podcasts don’t last long. In fact, only 20% of podcasts have released an episode in the past 90 days. If you want to get into the game, be consistent. Your hard work will pay off :).
We started the SuccessQuest podcast a mere 30 weeks ago. I’m proud to say that we’ve been consistent. We haven’t missed a Thursday :).

💰 With PPC ads, you have to pay to get traffic. With content, you don’t.
💬 Talk to your customer support and sales departments! They talk to the customer every day and can tell you what pain points they have.
🙌 Content isn’t about promoting your products. Instead, it’s about solving problems.
‼️ If you do content marketing correctly, it’s not guesswork.
🤝 Good marketing and good sales go hand in hand. If you provide value then sales will be easy.
🎙 Start a podcast! A podcast is an amazing tool that provides so many benefits. It lets you network with people, and it creates incredible content.
⚙️ Create systems in your business and document these systems. This will help you outsource and get help.

Time to spruce up your LinkedIn profile? Here are some tips for you!
I went through Taylor Hyde's profile and gave her some tips to utilize the platform better. She is brand new to the platform, so go and connect with her!
- Use a custom header image.
- Record a 10-second audio clip and upload it as the "name pronunciation." This is an opportunity to connect with people on a personal level.
- Write a headline that tells what value you can bring.
- Fill the about section with keywords. This is a great opportunity for SEO.
- If you own your own business, make sure you create a company page and add a logo to it.
- Reach out to people you've worked with in the past and ask them to endorse you.
- Create content, content, content! Creating content is the most important part of LinkedIn.
- Don't sell all of the time. Create value and people will give value back.
